You ever ran out of money? like none literally … not even enough to eat … say for a day or so … or maybe longer or whatever?
What did you do? sit it out, eat the cupboard? ask your family, maybe a brother – friend? go to centre link, go to a eat out?
Or did you grab the nearest felt pen marker and cardboard, create a sign ‘Need change’, or your more the Oliver Twist style, dress up in your rags, grab that trusty old pan an hit the streets with your best cockney …

At some point in time I’m guessing most ppl are saying yes to the first half of that hypothetical, then maybe a very small percentage who have had to resort to the street begging stuff, which is unfortunate, none the less …
Which brings me to my point …. Virtual begging? Virtual pan handling?
I’ve read four blogs in as many days, exactly doing that , Begging or virtual pan handling … the old trend usually was to be a plea to help with hosting costs , legal fees which actually can help , but generally its just bullshit .. but not anymore .. its just .. I’m broke give me your money … then with a obligatory lol or giggle attached in a kinda yes im sleazy an totally not joking omfg lollerskates way … Hell some people even ask for subscriptions .. not just a one off, but subscriptions … jesus ..
Unfortunately for most of these sites an this one , the local fish n chip shop notice board holds a bigger readership… This is a fine line here ppl , an it makes me feel creepy… Dont get me wrong , i have no problem with this model only if the product is good, and i mean … realllllly good.
Lets do the numbers on this , this blog holds around 1500 unique avg readers a day , lets say I need money , ask for $5, lets say 10% take it up, the closer the community the more they will reply, that’s $750 bucks obtained for being a flea, to the people you probably appreciate most … now imagine doing that weekly sorry i mean a ’subscription’ – thats 36 grand year,
Okay thats for a small site 36k a year , now for a site with decent traffic times that table buy say x100, you do the math, not bad jam if you ask me …
Furthermore, a couple things.. no no , wait , I cant be bothered, just four words for this lost …
