When it comes to skateboarding videos a few come to mind, mouse, early 90′s 411 best of, rodney v daewon, an then there is the end, which really changed the game in 1998, Tony Hawks Birdhouse skate film was the first skateboarding movie to have 16mm and 35mm film used in it. It was the first kind of film that you really want to sit down and watch, it sorta bought Hollywood plus the first time seen video game type tricks to the television.

Ask any dominate pro skater today who they idolised an its a fair bet this birdhouse team will show strongly. It was hard to choose which part to show because there are well you know just too many, and as pioneering as Andrew Reynolds part is (you’ll see it after the jump), i couldnt go past Jeremy Klein an Heith Kircharts part of towing that jump ramp around LA and taking down anything that looks well impossible. I could watch kircharts frontside b/slide down that humongous rail at 1min 40 all day, Plus i have a soft spot for klien after viewing his appereances on the tomgreenlive show, which to be fair im wonderfully addicted to. More on that show later though.

So anyways press play a touch and witness some skating from the holy grail, keeping in mind, this was well … 12-years ago…and even though it may look i seen that before, at the time it was jaw dropping ground breaking. Plus the video’s in 3/4 format which adds to its nostalgia …. Try and ignore the vandalism and focus on the skating.

I was working at a skateshop at the time an ran home as soon as this dvd came out an rang my clan to get round, I watched this video as a teenager thinking, well, maybe, some day … sif.

Actually, scrub that, on second thoughts, ive put the reynolds clip first, change of mind, Kirchart and kelin after the jump.

I changed it back.
