- Halo 2 leaked onto the net

Microsoft has pledged to "aggressively pursue" whoever leaked Halo 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the Xbox hit, onto the net.

The game, a key title for MS' console in the run up to Christmas, is believed to have surfaced on Usenet and the web last night, possibly in the form of a localised French version, according to early reports. The download is said to weigh in at 3GB and lack support for Xbox Live multi-player gaming.[soured from the register]

- Gay Niggers From Outer Space

I took the time out to the watch Gay Niggers From Outer Space last night. Well what can I say ummm a 25min B&W short film about gay niggers from space invading earth and infecting hetro men with their homo guns and trying to make everyone gay.

When the first gay nigger walks onto the screen, you know you're in for a real treat. It is almost to impossible to articulate, in words, the sheer, visionary brilliance of this film.

The music is amazing as well. "Gay Niggers Eat Pigs and Fly on Penises Made of Ham and Brown Ham, Because They're Gay Niggers" is an oscar-worthy song. This song plays during the scene when Gay Nigger Jim rapes a toilet and explodes, and unless you're souless, it will make you cry.

The stuff of legends . . .

The film is about 265mg and can be downloaded from nova. That is all

- Shoot From The Hip

I almost lost my will to blog, well I pretty much did. I don’t know why and how but I just did. I use to write anything anytime. Now when I type, I think too much and get myself in a big mess, Usually making the post end up in the drafts bin with the others. I and some of you will remember a time when sd.com was full of (arguably) interesting commentary, articles, and diaries. Nowadays I seem to get myself in a big knot and not sure why. Kinda feels like I’ve let myself down sold out perhaps. It was only a week ago I felt like pulling the whole thing down but someone persuaded me against that and thanks

so you knows ...

im still here

- The Grind Date

The seventh album from one of Hip hop's all-time greatest crews has everyone talking. Not because it's a return to the form of past records, but because its a return to their old habits of dropping albums that are superior to other crews. They've got help this time from Common, Madlib, MF Doom, Ghostface, J Dilla, Flava Flav, Jake One, and more. As with each release, welcome back De La.

If you dont have this album get it.

- World Cyber Games

The Samsung bankrolled World Cyber Games came to San Francisco this past week, bringing with them the world’s fastest twitchy-fingered kids.

It’s 2004 and the WCG is still playing Counter-Strike and 2 generations of RTS from Blizzard. I think the youngest player in the tournament was 9 when Counter-Strike hit the streets? Never mind the age of the games, the action was intense as players would crowd the sidelines with binoculars to scope the competition’s screens .[sourced joystiqs.com]

- The Cruel Sims

Great account of a The Sims player who put her little people in a little box, removed the doors and windows, and tortured them into incontinence, then death.

I start out by creating a random couple. I build them a little room, seen below, with a door. One they've both walked in to check their "home" out, I get rid of the door. As you can see, the room contains the following:
  • * A ghetto chair
  • * A fireplace
  • * A clown painting
Because there's only one chair, directly opposite the clown painting, which Mr. Victim immediately takes, Mrs. Victim quickly becomes annoyed. They have no light, no bathroom, and no food source. [sourced boing boing]

- Charity

Charity is a good deed you do While OTHERS Are Watching

Never anyonymously give money or time to any good cause, because it's all ABOUT you and your ALTRUISM. What good is it unless you can lord it over in public?

- Millionaires - Charles Bukowski

you
no faces
no faces at all
laughing at nothing
let me tell you
i have drunk in skidrow rooms with imbecile winos
whose cause was better
whose eyes still held some light whose voices retained some sensibility
and when the morning came
we were sick but not ill
poor but not deluded
and we stretched in our beds
and rose in the late afternoon
like millionaires

- Morals

If i made a promise based on morals i believed right say 3 weeks ago, and then i elaborated on my system of morals or found a new system and broke my promise based on the old set of morals i believed in 3 weeks ago, did i really break a promise?

Although Breaking a promise is breaking a promise, unless you build in conditions that your morals changed that so would your promise.

- Beasties Lettin Loose

**** UPDATE - The Beastie Boys will be at the this years BIG DAY OUT ****

I am relieved that after becoming socially conscious and shit - what with freeing the Tibetans, birding the Bush, and pacifying Iraq - the Beastie Boys aren't taking themselves overly seriously on their current tour. I just don't think I could handle yet more sanctimonious political speechifying from the stage, especially from these beats-and-blunts jokers, although their latest, To the 5 Boroughs (Al says nay, the Duke says yeay), wasn't shy about the body politic amongst the grooves.

So, why the relief?

- Burn Out 3

Never before in the history of video games has a series improved like Criterion's "Burnout." The original was a nice but unremarkable arcade style racer, while the sequel added in addictive qualities with the spectacular crash junctions. Now published by EA but developed by the same team, "Burnout 3" is the best racer this week, this month, this year, this decade, and possibly of all time.

This is a game just shy of absolute perfection. Hardly any other title on the current market can test a player's reaction time like this one. Not a single new addition disappoints and the tweaks to the old ones only improve upon the concepts. "Burnout 3" becomes an instant classic immediately after the disc drive shuts on your console.

If you own a console you must own this game... or atleast have it. :)
