- Windows 7

The Install
Couple things – I’ve been using windows 7, its good, its real good. Solid, stable and internet explorer 8 is actually, well, pretty good. I wont get to much into it , but the install is refreshing …. No driver issues like vista or xp… I installed the o/s on a laptop that I have had none stop driver issues with xp n well you guessed it, vista. With 7, you install it, it picks up the drivers itself, installs them as part of the install, and your machine is ready to go. That’s it , that’s all there is to it.

Did you just read that … an o/s install from Microsoft that’s a breeze, no hassles. That’s huge.

The Feel
Windows 7 actually runs a hell of a lot smoother then any other Microsoft o/s ive used before. It has a very light modern feel about it. The graphics are smooth and snappy, did I just say snappy? But they are … The run command all xp users are familiar with is on steroids in 7, the search function actually finds things an is comparable with quicksilver.

Specs
I installed the 7 on a hp notebook with 4gig ram, dual core somethen somethen processor, more then capable to run the o/s, however ive also seen the o/s installed on a Pentium 4 an runs equal to or greater then xp. Thats a big feat, considering vista’s backwards compatibility was terrible.

Features
You can pick up the windows 7 an use the o/s the same as you would use xp, however, there are a whole swag of features I cant really be assed getting into rite now. Check this video here to see full list of features an includes.

Conclusion
Keep in mind this is all still in beta, so the final release should be even better, I think itll bring users back, This may just be the o/s that surpasses any fanboy love of xp or osx. This could just be the o/s pc users have been calling for. Microsoft has raised the bar an raised the bar high.

You can download the beta here.

Have you used it? tell me about it?

- Makes you cry? come on ...

'During an interview with Gamasutra, The Beatles: Rock Band project lead Josh Randall revealed a great anecdote about a playtesting session. "I'm not that great, but the first time I sat in on a playtest session and saw three people singing in harmony together for "Here Comes the Sun," I swear I saw people tearing up at the end," he said. People crying while playing his game? What is this, Shadow of the Colossus?

He also points to another occasion where he saw people "hold hands -- total strangers holding hands, singing in harmony." Randall thinks the game has a lot of heart, and will evoke a lot of emotion from those who play. While we can't comment on that yet, we will say the game's opening cartoon did give us butterflies in our stomach!' - joystiq

Mark Cubans post on motivation

'Its really easy to know if you are in the right job. If it matters how much you get paid, you are not in a job you really really love. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t want to make more money. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t bust your ass to make as much money as possible. Thats not the issue. The issue is whether or not you truly love your job. If you love what you do so much that you are willing to continue to live like a student in order to be able to stay in the job, you have found your calling.' - mark cuban

- "Bukowski Says"

A dry period for me means perhaps going two or three nights without writing. I probably have dry periods but I’m not aware of them and I go on writing, only the writing probably isn’t much good. But sometimes I do get aware that it isn’t going too well. Then I go to the racetrack and bet more money than usual and scream at and abuse my woman. And it’s best that I lose at the track without trying to. I can almost always write a damn near immortal poem if I have lost somewhere between 150 and 200 dollars.— Charles Bukowski
